The Atascadero Regional Library
The Atascadero Regional Library, located at 6555 Capistrano, two blocks from the historic City Hall and the Sunken Gardens, opened in June of 2014. It serves as the regional library for the north county region of San Luis Obispo County and provides reference and youth services to approximately 500 people a day.
The library serves 14,500 patrons a month and has a circulation of over 30,000 items (books, magazines, periodicals, Audio CDs, and DVDs, etc.) a month. It offers computer stations for on-line research and provides assistance to students of all ages. The adult services librarian and the children's librarian put their specialized skills at the disposal of the public and actively develop programs for their patrons.
