Alice Creasy Rew Bookstore

The Alice's Bookstore is located in the lobby of the Atascadero Library. This is the place to find great used books for sale at fabulous bargain prices. Our bookstore is staffed by helpful volunteers. We are generally open whenever the library is open; provided volunteers are available.

Come visit us and browse all the wonderful treasures. You will be amazed at what you find!

All days and hours depend upon volunteer availability

Donations

We are happy to have 2 bags or boxes of your donations anytime the bookstore is open and there is room on the cart. Please email us to arrange for larger donations.

We do accept:

Magazines – within 3 months from publication date
DVDs and CDs
Children’s Books
Mass Market/Paperbacks in good condition
Fiction and Non-Fiction hardback books
Jigsaw Puzzles
Vintage or collectible items in good condition

We cannot accept:

Books that are watered damaged, moldy or mildewed from long term storage in an attic, garage, etc.
Books that are underlined, highlighted, or with dog-eared pages
Books that are torn, missing pages/covers or have broken spines
Reference Books, Encyclopedias, and Text Books
VHS or Cassette tapes or LP albums.

PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE DONATIONS IN THE LOBBY OF THE COUNTY BUILDING BEFORE WE ARE OPEN.

Volunteer at the Bookstore

Volunteers are always welcome to our group. So, if you have a few hours to spare and would like to help, please review, complete, and return our Volunteer Interest Form either in person at the Bookstore or via email. Someone will get back to you Monday thru Friday to follow up!
